How can you help children sit still so they can focus and listen?
Many children today have difficulty sitting still in long classes or family events, but children with sensory issues have a particularly hard time.
My Calming the Hyper Child printable is chock full of ideas for helping a child sit still easier. I have used all the techniques with children over the years, and they all help with calming and sitting still. The best part is most of them only take a few minutes to do, and they can have a really powerful effect on the kids.
I would share this printable with your child’s teacher as well. All these strategies are great for the classroom, and I know they would be grateful.
